SONY XD9405

SONY XD9405 :

If you're into movies and you've got plenty of space in your living room, sonys 75XD9405 is our favourite giant TV of 2016 to date. Its mammoth 75-inch screen gives you deliciously detailed, colourful, high contrast, clear and natural pictures with high and standard dynamic sources alike, and its enormity also does a great job of underlining the benefits dynamic sources alike, and its enormity also does a great job of aren't the brightest around, and some high-contrast HDR content causes light blooming around bright objects

Android TV s interface isn't the most helpful around either, and the low-profile buttons on the remote control are tortuous to use. For the vast majority of the time, though, the size and overall quality of the 75Xd9405 s pictures creates a stunningly immersive experience that could well make the idea going out to watch films a thing of the past

PANASONIC TX-40CX680B

TX-40CX680B :

4K Ultra HD TV for the highest resolution possible
Boasting UHD (Ultra High Definition) 4K screen resolution, the Panasonic TX-40CX680B brings astonishing levels of detail to your viewing. This resolution is four times greater than the more conventional 1920 x 1080 Full HD TVs and it's a difference you'll really notice. This CX680 model is also compatible with the format required for streaming Netflix 4K, meaning you can see the benefits of 4K straight away.

Local Dimming for superb realism
In addition to 4K, the Panasonic TX40CX680B offers local dimming for even greater picture precision. This works with all sources and screen resolutions, ensuring you get the most natural picture quality possible. Local Dimming reduces backlighting behind dark areas, enhancing the black levels to give superior contrast. The result is inky blacks contrasting strongly with brighter areas for outstanding realism.

Studio Master Colour and 200Hz BMR for a compelling picture
Using Wide Colour Phosphor Technology, Studio Master Colour offers a naturally coloured palette with subtle shades more apparent, so whatever the scene, you're guaranteed true authenticity of colour. Also standard is 200Hz BMR (Backlight Motion Rate), ensuring the TX40CX680B has the speed and clarity to show the picture without motion blur when watching fast sports or action movies.

Freeview Play for easy access to catch-up TV
The Panasonic TX40CX680B is among the first TVs to feature Freeview Play, which combines catch-up TV, on-demand services and live television to make it easy to watch what you want, when you want. It's free from subscription and compatible with existing broadband services, while BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, All 4 and Demand 5 are available without having to open specific apps, giving effortless scroll-back TV (requires broadband Internet connection with a minimum speed of 2Mbps).

My Home Screen 2.0 by Firefox OS with a Quad-Core processor
Another great feature with the TX40CX680B is My Home Screen 2.0 powered by Firefox OS, which offers a single 'gateway' to all TV channels, apps and connected devices. This makes navigating content far easier than with other smart TVs and, with the powerful quad-core processor, it's fast too.

my Stream and Voice Assistant
my Stream learns the type of programmes and content you enjoy, from multiple sources, and then makes personalised recommendations, while Voice Assistant means you simply have to speak into the controller to bring up content and search results.

The Smart choice
The TX40CX680B comes with all the Smart functionality you could possibly hope for. A wide range of web apps is complemented by a full web browser, while DLNA-certified streaming makes it easy to transfer music and video files from your home computer, laptop or NAS drive to the TV. Swipe and Share lets you use the Panasonic VIERA 2 app for smartphone media sharing, no cables required.

Spacious sound
In addition to offering a superb picture quality, the Panasonic TX40CX680B also offers good sound quality too. The built-in 20W amplifier provides full-bodied sound, while VR-Audio True Surround produces a surround sound effect. There's both analogue (via headphones) and optical digital audio outputs, so it's easy to add a home cinema system or soundbar/base.

Great value 4K TV with one of the finest smart operating systems about; the Panasonic TX40CX680B is one of the best at its price.
